Today we lit the road of 61 Red Hills with the spirit of a true Calabar Lion, from home we cheered on our track team as they do there part at the National Stadium for this years staging of the (ISSA)/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships.

Was a great day as the young lions of Calabar High School celebrated there Cala-culture day dawning there school colors and showing their school spirit with all their might. To make it even more intresting we were the last stop for Champs Tour and Flows' Journey to Champs tour giving us that extra kick off for our up coming Spirit Week with a great start.

Yet another year of ISSA's Inter-Secondary Schools Boys and Girls Championships fast apporces but schools near and far came together at 61 Red Hills Road to take part in the annual Peace for Champs Devotion after which they took a tour of the school compound accompanied by the headboy and student council president. "Peace Mek It Work Fi Wi"

Pre-season favorites Camperdown lost in a close battle between Calabar. Calabar hoped to create an upset as many patrons are expecting Camperdown to win the under 19 basketball competition, however Calabar held-out and won by 3 points. 45:48

Calabar High School is pleased to annonuce the 1st staging of The McKenley/Wint Track&Field Classic on Saturday, January 23, 2016 on the school grounds at 61 Red Hills Road starting at 8:30am. At the Press release today sports minister the Hon. Natalie Neita Headly stated that this sporting complex reflects tremendous signs that the government and schools, across jamaica are working towards improving sports in Jamaica. The organizing comitte has extended an open invitation to athlectic teams and individuals from all schools, clubs and insitutions from all over Jamaica to partcipate in this inaugural staging. There will be 100m, Sprint Hurdles, 400m, 1500m(all classes) and 400m hurdles Open. In the field EVENTS WE WILL BE HAVING High Jump, Long Jump, Shotput and dicus for all classes.Other events will include 400m and 800m Men olympic Development, 400 and 800m Women olympic Development, 100m under 12 boys and girls for specially invited primary and prep schools in the area. and 100m for Calabar old boys. Teams are being asked to wear their regular competiton colours. Entries will be accepted up to 12 NOON Tuesday January 19, 2016. No entries will be accepted on the day of Competiton. The staging of the meet will be honouring Herbert Mckenly and Authur Wint Respectivley.
