TRUE STORY CAMPAIGN
Title: Fifteen with Twins
At 15, after graduating at grade 10 with my boyfriend Mark, I started feeling sick. Turns out, I was pregnant, a shock for an honor student heavily involved in school activities. I shared the news with my parents, who were surprised but eventually embraced the situation.
Telling my parents, who were at first surprised because they did not expect that their honor student daughter would be pregnant at the age of 15. We had an open discussion and I decided to keep the baby. Mark didn’t handle the news well and left me, but with the support of my family and friends, I faced the challenges.
Facing rumors at school, my friends Nicole and Joanna stood by me. At 4 months pregnant, I returned to school, concealing the bump. A later ultrasound revealed I was having twins—twin girls. Excitement filled my family, and the nursery was ready by 7 months.
Though Mark initially left, he returned before the twins' birth, expressing regret. I gave him another chance. Unexpectedly, at 8 months, my water broke. Rushed to the hospital, I endured intense pain since I was too far along for an epidural. Two hours later, my twin Mariane and Marelyn arrived on May 11.
Since the birth of my beautiful girls I went to university, married Mark and moved from Cainta to Antipolo, I am currently pregnant with my first son, my journey from teenage pregnancy to a thriving family has been both challenging and rewarding.
