Speechcraft Workshop 2026
Have you ever had to make a speech and thought, ‘I would rather DIE than speak in front of otherpeople’. Join the club, literally. Join Speechcraft.

Speechcraft is a short program of 8, 1hour sessions, held once a week from 12 noon to 1 PM. Where Experienced coaches (Toastmasters) work closely with members to craft 3 speeches that will be presented aloudto the other members of the group.

Not only does Speechcraft help build or hone the skills you need to make a good speech but it also helps build confidence; the confidence in your ability to get your thoughts across in an organized and dynamic manner.

Maybe you already have the skills needed to make a speech but you have not given a public speech in a long while. Just like your muscles, your speaking skills can atrophy from non-use. Everyone can benefit from Speechcraft. It won’t take long before you are speaking confidently in front of your peers and superiors or giving that great Toast at your next function.

Our 2026 Speechcraft program begins Monday April 13, 2026 and runs to Monday June 1, 2026.
Noon - 1:00 pm at the Manulife Head Office 200 Bloor Street East building (South Tower Meeting Room ).

Cost including materials for the entire program. If you then decided to join the Manulife Toronto Toastmasters club, the cost will be deducted from the membership fee.

First Meeting

This Tuesday January 6, 2026 at 12:00 Noon Online and 12:15 PM in-person..

Theme will be “New Year’s Resolutions.” This theme invites us to reflect on fresh starts, personal growth, habits we want to build (or break), and the intentions we’re setting as we move into the year ahead both inside and outside of Toastmasters.

I encourage you to weave the theme into your role in whatever way feels natural. It could be reflective, humorous, motivational, or practical.

There’s lots of room to interpret “resolutions” in your own way!

Thank You from the Manulife Toronto Toastmasters Club

The Manulife Toronto Toastmasters Club closed out 2025 with Meeting #1631, “The Holiday Spirit”, celebrated through our annual potluck lunch. Despite the forecast of a snowstorm in Toronto, members and guests joined us both in person and online, ensuring everyone could participate safely.

The word of the meeting was “Spirit”, beautifully highlighted by Suzie’s inspiring speech reminding us that compassion still thrives in our world. We also enjoyed a Toastmasters speech delivered at a contest‑worthy level, a true gift to all in attendance.

As we wrap up this year, we extend heartfelt thanks to our members, guests, and supporters. We look forward to welcoming anyone seeking personal and professional growth in the year ahead. With the Toastmasters Pathways program, you can unlock new opportunities and build lasting confidence.
