Congratulations to our Roscoe Wilson Teacher of the Year, Kim Hooper and Paraprofessional of the Year, Kathy Enriquez! These two ladies put their whole heart and soul into everything they do! We are so grateful for them both!

Mrs. Hooper went on to receive the Teacher of the Year award for the Lubbock High Feeder pattern!! She will represent us at the upcoming District Teacher of the Year ceremony at the end of May. We are rooting for you, Mrs. Hooper!

Hey Wrangler Families! We have fantastic news to share with you!! We received word this morning that Roscoe Wilson made a huge impact in a village called Munini in Rwanda! From our Socks For Water Campaign back in October, we were able to raise enough funds to build an artesian well for a community!! What a privilege it is to be part of something so much bigger than Roscoe Wilson! When a school and community come together the impact is endless! We are truly grateful for all your help and support! Wear those socks proudly!

We are getting so excited for Amazing Race Week—it’s going to be such a special experience for our students!

We are still in need of several volunteers to help make this event run smoothly. Each time slot requires about 15 volunteers to ensure every station has the support it needs. Right now, we are a bit short, and without additional help, we may need to adjust or scale back some of our plans.

If you have any availability—even for just one time slot—we would truly appreciate your support! Your time and energy make a huge difference in creating a fun and meaningful experience for our students.

Get ready for Amazing Race Year 2!! This year, each grade level will experience one half-day (about 3 hours) of fun, hands-on activities, with additional in-class learning opportunities sprinkled throughout the week.

During their Amazing Race time, students will rotate through four different countries—Russia, Uganda, Philippines, and Greece—participating in meaningful activities connected to each culture.
We would love your help to make this event even more special! If you have a connection to any of these countries or have authentic materials or knowledge to share, it would be greatly appreciated.

We encourage volunteers to stay for the full block of time so students get the best experience possible. You can sign up to help any day or just the day your child’s grade level participates. We will take as many volunteers as we can get, and your support will help enrich the learning experiences for all our students!
