Avon Robotics Team

Sorry for the delay in posting. What an afternoon! We ended up with four of our teams making playoffs with 26 and 21 being on alliance number two, and 14 and 32 being on alliance number three. Both progressed through the playoffs and did very well. In the end 14 and 32 were runners up at the state championship match, followed closely by teams 26 and 21. Both teams 21 and 14 won awards. As a result of this incredible day, we've had three teams qualify for premier events and the highlight of the day was team one 14 qualifying for the world championships in Houston in May. This was the most successful outing we've ever had at the state championship match and it was a result of incredible work by our students and support from our mentors and funding from our awesome sponsors. We will be organizing fundraisers opportunities to support these teams because it is going to be an incredible experience, but an expensive experience.

We're halfway through the day and four of our teams are ranked in the top 10, the purple robots is ranked number two. A lot more roboting to go, but we're having a blast.

Tonight we celebrated our senior class and all of their accomplishments. This group has worked with incredible focus for 4 years and their accomplishments are unprecedented within robotics. But, what sets them apart is they are great people. The future is very bright for this group beyond Avon High School. Thank you for all your work and good luck at the state championship match tomorrow.

Today was our final district competition for the season. Finished up the best regular season we've ever had. All three teams in attendance won awards, team 21945 was the winning alliance captain. Team 15455 was the runner up alliance captain. Both teams were selfless and their actions helped other teams make it to the state championship match.

Teams will enjoy this and come in next week ready to improve and get focused for the state championship match on March 14th.

Competition update. We just finished our qualification rounds with teams ranked 1st, 2nd and 14th. First and second teams are paving their own paths picking non-Avon teams to join their alliances. Should be some fun playoff matches coming up.
