An outstanding way to travel down the rivers of the British Isles is stand-up paddleboard.

Some times rivers beyond the UK and Ireland beckon. This weekend is the Guadiana Challenge SUP Festival in Portugal, featuring a 32km race, a 32km fun paddle, and a 10km fun paddle. I'll be speaking about the Ganges as the festivities continue tomorrow.

The team Ganges SUP (Spike Reid, Shilpika Gautam, Pascal Dubois, Kumaran Geopaddler).

Its been over a month now that we finished filming these amazing chaps doing their epic world record adventure (Stand Up Paddleboarding entire length of ganges----source to sea ---- 2977 kms---101 days). Unforgettable 2 months with them wherein we explored our own country in a very different perspective, travelling only through river Ganga.

Its post-production time right now & our team is working day & night to finish the 7 episode series to be screened very soon on TV - Discovery Channel India.
Stay tuned for updates regarding the release of the series.

Epic first day — paddling into head winds upstream on the River Avon. Made it from the mouth to Saltford Lock in 12 hours. About to set up camp on the pub's island.

Gear ready, mostly thanks to Ainsworth Paddles UK, Origin Paddleboards, Aquapac and Jobe SUP.
Launch site located, followed by a pint at the pub beside it.
Now just time for some sleep, most of the team being kindly hosted by Jessi Tucker. Massive thank you.
Eight hours and counting until we put in the water to start the journey across our country:
