Please note that parking in the parking ramp is free for the first hour. This is also the preferred time for anyone who wishes to pick up unit patches and trophies. On April 8, 2025, the dedicated members of the Misty Cadet Corps had the distinct honor of visiting the renowned 185th Air Refueling Wing. This invaluable experience allowed them to gain firsthand insight into the wide array of career opportunities available within the United States Air Force. The cadets engaged with experienced personnel who shared their expertise and knowledge about the critical roles that support air refueling operations. Throughout the day, the cadets were able to explore the intricacies of various specialties, from pilots navigating vast skies to technicians ensuring the aircraft’s flawless performance on the ground. This immersive visit not only broadened their understanding of military operations but also inspired them to consider future paths within the Air Force, each contributing to the mission of defending our nation’s freedom.

On April 9, 2025, the Misty Cadet Corps organized a solemn and meaningful event to commemorate the resilience and fortitude of the Filipino and American soldiers who endured the harrowing Bataan Death March during World War II. This event aimed to honor the brave individuals who were subjected to a grueling 60-mile march under harsh conditions, often with minimal food and water. Participants gathered to reflect on the sacrifices made, highlighting the intense physical and emotional struggles these soldiers faced as they traveled along a difficult path beneath the relentless sun.

Misty Cadet Corp took a trip to the WW1 museum as well as Air and Space museum this April and had tons of fun experiences. Our Cadets saw exhibits learning more about our military while they built moral and spent time with their fellow cadets and building long-lasting memories!

Misty Cadet Corp is thrilled to announce our final military ball and cordially invites all current and former Cadets to join us for an unforgettable evening. Attendees are encouraged to bring a plus one. Catering will be provided, and there will be an entry fee of $5 per person.

The ball will start at 8 PM, with the end time to be determined. Please RSVP by 9th April by texting the number above or emailing [email protected]. Our theme for the evening is Renaissance. We look forward to celebrating this special occasion with you!

27th February Misty Cadet Corps was given the opportunity to do a marksmanship lab with some members of the USD ROTC at the Army National Guard Armory. They learned skills like how to inspect and take apart an M4’s, M2 50 caliber machine gun, and M249s. The cadets also learned how to hold a rifle in different shooting positions.

25 January, the Misty Cadet Corps participated in a competition at Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs, showcasing their skills and teamwork alongside other talented cadets. Through diligent preparation and camaraderie, the event became a memorable experience. The Corps earned first place trophy’s for Inspection and Unarmed Exhibition, we are incredibly proud of our cadets for their dedication.

On 17 January Misty Cadet Corps hosted a vibrant semester award ceremony to honor the dedicated Cadets who had achieved remarkable accomplishments. The event took place at the Sioux City Career Academy, a venue bustling with energy and pride. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as friends, family, and instructors gathered to celebrate the hard work and determination of the Cadets. The sounds of applause echoed as each cadet was recognized for their commitment and excellence.

On 9th January, the Misty Cadet Corps had the wonderful opportunity to engage with the 8th graders at East Middle School. The day was filled with lively conversations and enjoyable games, creating a vibrant atmosphere of fun. It was a memorable experience as both groups shared laughter and made lasting connections.
