We provide sessions on Mind Blowing, Inventional and Design Spheres of Life! The chapter was formed with the three underlying areas of involvement, i.e.

MINDS, short for Malaysian Invention and Design Society, was founded and is chaired by the Father of Malaysian Palm Oil, Academician Tan Sri Emeritus Professor Datuk Dr. Augustine Ong Soon Hock, and its patron is the former prime minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. The UCSI University - MINDS Student Chapter was founded and launched in early 2015, with its core idea of promoting invent

ion and design thinking among university students. chemical, electrical and electronics, and ICT fields. The chapter committee members are dedicated in organizing related events such as MINDs Talk, boot camp, intellectual property (IP) and patenting workshop, industry site visit, professional dialogue, career forum, and so on. The executive committee members also volunteer themselves in the annual Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX). UCSI-MINDS Student Chapter aspires to encourage youth to be innovative and creative in one's area of work and study. We endeavor to be the leading MINDS university student chapter throughout the region. Our objectives are:
• To encourage creative thinking and the spirit of invention among the people and businesses of Malaysia
• To promote and enhance the development and utilization of Malaysian inventions and designs
• To provide advice and guidance to individual inventors and designers as well as companies involved in research and development
• To offer support and guidance in the commercialization of new inventions and product ideas
• To provide professional development and training programs to enhance competitiveness

“Education is a turning point for children”

From the statement above we know that education plays a crucial role for refugee children as it:

PROTECTS them from child labour, sexual exploitation, and other dangerous situations
GIVES them the skill and knowledge to grow and prosper
ENABLES them to have a better life and learn about themselves.

However, refugee children are not as fortunate. The quality of education offered to them in Malaysia is not on par with the standardised school system due to the lack of funding and education centres.

Hence, Sponsor-A-Child (SAC) Project is established to sponsor refugee children with financial difficulties to return to school and continue their education. You can always lend a hand by donating at the link below or scanning the QR code in the infographics.
