Established in 2010, Hanok Korean Class has provided over a thousand students a refreshing way to learn how to read, write and speak Korean. With experience from teaching at NUS Extension, Cambridge Institute, Polytechnic, various corporations and more, we have created a syl

labus that is suited for the local students in Singapore as existing textbooks are more targeted at students in Korea. Our modified syllabus emphasises on what is most necessary for students outside Korea with engaging, fun and easy-to-follow classes for a great learning experience.

The Frontman from Squid Game, actor Lee Byung-hun, in his new movie “The Match(승부)”, is playing Cho Hun-hyun whom I can describe as G-Dragon or Seo Taiji of Baduk.

Weiqi was born in China over 2,500 years ago. In the 1600s, Japan created official Go schools and ranking systems, and it became more well-known. Hence, it’s known in the west as Go. Japan dominated the professional scene for centuries — until 1988, when Cho Hun-hyun, broke through Japanese ranks to win a major tournament, a turning point of intense national pride.

After that, Baduk received national support including sponsorship from big companies like Samsung and LG. Academies, leagues, and hobby clubs appeared everywhere. And from this system came Lee Chang-ho, a quiet genius trained by Cho Hun-hyun. He held the world number one position for over a decade until he was beaten by Lee Sedol, the same player who later stood against AlphaGo.

🌅You must catch the sunrise at Seongsan Ichulbong for 2 reasons.

1️⃣It is very pretty.
2️⃣The admission ticket office collection entrance fee only opens after the sun had risen at 7AM.

Point 2️⃣ is only applicable if you are already renting a car because public buses headed here only operate after 7AM.

Not to be missed if it's your first time in jeju! I've been in Jeju long enough that there's plenty of information out there. Outside the teahouse, there is a green field where you could take incredible instaworthy photos.

And if you dislike crowds like me, there is a pretty decent cafe called Jejugreemcafe (no spelling error here), which is a 5-minute drive away!

Do you know that in the year 1953, a devasting fire broke in Dongmun Market, causing a loss of lives, many in severe injury, destruction of buildings and displacement of thousands residents living in the area. Just a year later, a careless flick of a cigarette sparked another fire, burning down the remaining structures of the Dongmun Market.
