न्यायकर्ताहरूको पुस्तक यहोशूको मृत्युको विवरणसँगै शुरु हुन्छ, यहोशूको मृत्युको विवरण यसअघि यहोशूको पुस्तकमा उल्लेख छ (यहोशू २४ः२९—३०) । यसअघि, यहोशूको पुस्तकको शुरुवात् पनि मोशाको मृत्युको विवरणसँगै शुरु भएको छ । मोशाको मृत्युको कुरा पनि व्यवस्थाको अन्तिम अध्यायमा उल्लेख छ (व्यवस्था ३४ः७) । व्यवस्था, यहोशू र न्यायकर्ताहरुका पुस्तकहरू एक ऐतिहासिक सिलशिला हुन् ।

यी मृत्युहरूले हेर्दा सामान्य देखिए पनि, यसले परमेश्वरको उद्धारको कथामा उहाँको विश्वासयोग्यता प्रष्ट बनाउँछ । पुरानो करारका मुख्य घटनाहरूको सत्यतामा परमेश्वरको अनुग्रहको करारको प्रवन्ध देखिन्छ । इस्राएलको इतिहासमा यी अगुवाहरू ऐतिहासिक र महत्वपूर्ण थिए । उत्पत्ति ४ अध्यायमा नै मृत्युको शुरुवात् भएको छ । यी मृत्युहरूले अर्को एउटा मृत्यु तर्फ हामीलाई औंल्याउँछन् । जुन मृत्युले सबै मृत्युहरूमाथि विजय ल्याएको छ, त्यो मृत्यु हाम्रा प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्टको क्रूसको मृत्यु हो । उहाँको मृत्यु र पुनरुत्थानमा परमेश्वरका सबै मानिसहरुमा उहाँको विश्वासयोग्य बचाउने प्रावधानको प्रमाण दिँदछ ।
