Hope everyone made it strong through the first weeks of class.
I have a question.
I am looking to interview someone who has been touched by cancer in the way of being the loved one of a person that was/or is diagnosed. I am looking to interview someone privately on the radio (10minutes) for part of my final for the Media Savvy course. I know this can be a touchy subject and hard to talk about, but I figured I would throw it out there to my fellow college colleagues.

A bit of history!

"Women's Equality Day is not just a celebration; it is a call to action," writes Susan Cochran, president of the League of Women Voters of Maryland, in an Op-Ed for the Baltimore Sun.

On Aug. 26, 1920, Congress certified passage of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. While significant progress has been made through legislation and court action, equality did not automatically come with the right to vote, Cochran notes.

"The message of Women's Equality Day is that the vote is precious and we should use it to continue to pursue the goal: full equality," says Cochran.

Just a check in!! Hope everyone had a great holiday and safe News Years!!!!! for us seniors our final semester as an undergrad will beginning and ending before we know it!! lets make this semester one to remember!!!!
Hope everyone is taking care of themselves and anyone that is taking winter courses, as myself, that we are still able to take time out for ourselves and relax a bit!!!
