Now, back to the matter.
Last year, we had two categories:
👑 Secondary School Category
👑 Primary School Category
From each category, one winner emerged.
That’s exactly why you’re seeing their faces repeatedly — they earned it.
From today onward, these champions are no longer just winners.
They are officially our Phoenix Coding Competition Hall of Famers.
What does that mean?
It means they are permitted to:
🚶🏽• Walk into our competition hall with honour
😋• Enjoy the show as guests of distinction
💺• Sit in the VIP section
🎙️• Give speeches
🗣️• Grant interviews
However, they will no longer compete as regular contestants —
unless it’s a special face-off with fellow Hall of Famers.
Legacy matters.
And excellence deserves to be preserved.

Some stories stay with you long after the applause fades.
At our recent coding competition, the Primary School Category winner was a young boy named Kamiye. That day, he made history as our first-ever coding champion, earning his place in the PCI Coding Competition Hall of Fame. We celebrated his brilliance, his confidence, and the promise of a bright future unfolding right before our eyes.
But life, in its unpredictable nature, rewrote the moment.
The very next day, Kamiye lost his mum.
As an organisation, we have struggled to find the right words. How do you balance joy and deep sorrow in the same breath? How do you celebrate a win while your heart breaks for a child facing such loss?
What we do know is this: Kamiye is incredibly brave. His strength humbles us, and his story reminds us that behind every achievement is a human journey—sometimes filled with trials far beyond a child’s years.
Kamiye, we are proud of you. Your victory goes beyond coding; it speaks of courage, resilience, and hope. We wish you greater success ahead, and we stand with you as you continue to grow.
At PCI, this is more than competitions.
It is about people, purpose, and the lives we touch.
