Lastly, we are excited to spotlight Tori Hogan, a fourth-year member of SMU Cheer!

Tori will graduate with two degrees from SMU: a B.A. in Journalism with a specialization in sports and a minor in Advertising from the Meadows School of the Arts, and a B.A. in Psychology from Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences.

Over her four years on the team, she served as a Group Leader for the 2024–2025 season and helped lead the team to the 2024 NCA National Championship. Beyond cheer, Tori has made her mark in the sports industry as the Undergraduate Marketing & Fan Experience Lead Intern for SMU Athletics and a Corporate Partnerships Intern for Peak Events, and previously as a College Brand Ambassador for the Texas Rangers. She graduates in December and will begin her next chapter in January as a Sales Development Associate at Gartner.

To Tori: “It’s hard to put into words what this team has meant to me. SMU Cheer has shaped who I am—teaching me discipline, dedication, how to show up fully, and how to trust the people beside me. Cheering during such a transformative time for SMU has been an honor. From the College Football Playoff game against Penn to rushing the field after beating Miami, the energy at Ford Stadium these past four years is something I’ll never forget. My favorite memory is winning NCA Nationals 2024—a reminder of what’s possible when you push past fear and doubt. I’m endlessly grateful for every moment, every challenge, and every person who supported me. Thank you to my family for believing in me, and to my coaches and teammates for showing me what it means to be part of something bigger than myself. Through it all, SMU Cheer has taught me to lean on God for strength, guidance, and perspective. I’m so excited for my next chapter!”

Next, we are excited to spotlight Riley Rieman, a third-year member of SMU Cheer!

Riley will graduate from Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences with a B.A. in Earth Science with a specialization in Environmental Studies, along with minors in Italian, History, and Political Science. During her time at SMU, she has been a dedicated member of SMU Cheer for three years; a proud member of the Earth First Club, the Geology Club, and Delta Gamma sorority—where she served as Director of Recruitment Events; a High Distinction Honor Roll member all four years; and a Foscue Geology Scholar. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in environmental consulting or environmental science, where she can work with others to conserve the natural environment and support sustainable development.

To Riley, “My favorite memory is meeting my mom on the Boulevard every home game. Since she was on SMU Pom, it always feels like a full-circle moment with me being on cheer. Another unforgettable moment was when SMU rushed the field versus Miami. Being on the field and watching the excitement on the students’, players’, and my teammates’ faces as everyone piled in is something I will never forget.”

Next we are excited to spotlight Morgan Smith, a fourth-year member of SMU Cheer!

Morgan will graduate from the Cox School of Business with a B.B.A. in Marketing, along with minors in Advertising and Psychology. During her time at SMU, she has been a dedicated member of SMU Cheer and Chi Omega, as well as a BBA Scholar and recipient of the Second Century Scholarship. Throughout her collegiate career, Morgan has balanced her academic, spirit, and service commitments with enthusiasm, discipline, and heart—representing SMU with pride in the classroom, on the field, and in the community. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in marketing and digital media, continuing to combine her passion for creativity, people, and service in all that she does.

To Morgan, “From my very first SMU Cheer tryout to my last time on the sideline, this program has shaped my entire college experience. I still remember the nerves and excitement of that first tryout, when I realized how special it was to be surrounded by such driven, talented, and supportive teammates. The early morning practices before most people on campus were awake, the long nights at Ford Stadium, and the hours spent perfecting routines showed me what discipline and commitment really look like. Wearing the SMU uniform and leading the crowd never stopped feeling surreal. I’ll always cherish the laughs at practice and the game days filled with traditions and energy, where our team truly became a family. One of my favorite memories was cheering at the OU game my sophomore year—being in a stadium that big and getting to cheer at my mom’s alma mater was an unforgettable full-circle moment that I’ll always hold close. Being part of SMU Spirit during such an exciting time for the university has given me lifelong friendships, confidence, and memories I’ll never forget. As I move into my next chapter, I’ll carry the discipline, joy, and pride I found here. To my parents, teammates, and coaches—thank you for your endless encouragement and support.”
