Parenting - through Emotional Intelligence, Respect, Communication and Humor. Build that fulfilling bond! Let us Love - Respect - Parent!
I want to reach out to every parent out there....notwithstanding boundaries, age, status or gender. This is one common denominator that connects every one of us - the challenges of parenting. My heart bleeds when I watch young (and not so young) parents struggling to cope with their bundles of joy, unknowingly abusing the power of their words. Although they love and feel for their little ones, a b

IQ, EQ, SQ, AQ
....According to psychologists, there are four types of intelligence:
1) Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
2) Emotional Quotient (EQ)
3) Social Quotient (SQ)
4) Adversity Quotient (AQ)
1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your comprehension ability", solve maths; memorize things and recall subject matters.
2. Emotional Quotient (EQ): this is the measure of your ability to maintain peace with others; keep to time; be responsible; be honest; respect boundaries; be humble, genuine and considerate.
3. Social Quotient (SQ):
This is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.
People that have higher EQ and SQ tend to go farther in life than those with high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools capitalize in improving IQ level while EQ and SQ are played down.
A man of high IQ can end up being employed by a man of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ.
Your EQ represents your character; your SQ represents your charisma. Give in to habits that will improve these three Qs but more especially your EQ and SQ.
EQ and SQ make one manage better than the other.
Pls don't teach children only to have higher IQ , but also to have higher EQ and SQ.
Now there is a 4th one :
A new paradigm
4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ):
The measure of your ability to go through a rough patch in life and come out without losing your mind.
AQ determines who will give up in face of troubles and may abandon their families.
In the current context of Corona, many professionally successful people are going thru bouts of Depression. Because they haven't seen and thus are unprepared for Adversity.
To parents:
Expose children to other areas of life than academic. They should adore manual work, sport and art .
Develop their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently of the parents.
Finally,
do not prepare the road for the children. Prepare the children for the road.

Dear parents,
I hope this finds you and your family healthy and safe.
These are unprecedented times, not seen before in our or our parents' lifetimes. While we know that the human race will jointly tide over this global challenge, we also know that it will call upon immense resources from all of us, governments and citizens alike. While governments will do all they can to minimize the pandemic and ensure the availability of essentials, we will have to muster all our patience, calm and love to tide through the period.
We have no idea when things will get better. This does lead to anxious thoughts and disorientation as we have lost what we believed to be a normal life.
My family and I are following all the necessary safety protocols and being responsible. I am sure you are too.
I pray for the elderly in our families and hope that they stay safe when times get bad.
Stay strong and purposeful. Do help network with your local society/apartment complex/communities to be available to assist elders living alone in their needs. Adopt an elder, so that when you go out for your rations, you get them theirs too.
When we share smiles and live for others who need our assistance, we have fewer negative thoughts. Positive thoughts developed by feeling useful to others help reduce stress and we all know that reduced stress levels improve immunity levels.
We have to also accept that things are presently out of our control and we should just focus on seeing each day through, keeping our families peacefully engaged at home.
May you and your families stay physically, mentally and emotionally healthy and strong.
Lots to love to all of you

Peace and love to all...
A parent - the first and lifelong teacher needs to be far-sighted and sound in her teachings.
“I am from the village of Parra in Goa, hence we are called Parrikars. My village is famous for its watermelons. When I was a child, the farmers would organise a watermelon-eating contest at the end of the harvest season in May. All the kids would be invited to eat as many watermelons as they wanted. Years later, I went to IIT Mumbai to study engineering. I went back to my village after 6.5 years. I went to the market looking for watermelons. They were all gone. The ones that were there were so small.
I went to see the farmer who hosted the watermelon-eating contest. His son had taken over. He would host the contest but there was a difference. When the older farmer gave us watermelons to eat he would ask us to spit out the seeds into a bowl. We were told not to bite into the seeds. He was collecting the seeds for his next crop. We were unpaid child laborers, actually. He kept his best watermelons for the contest and he got the best seeds which would yield even bigger watermelons the next year. His son, when he took over, realized that the larger watermelons would fetch more money in the market so he sold the larger ones and kept the smaller ones for the contest. The next year, the watermelons were smaller, the year later even small. In watermelons the generation is one year. In seven years, Parra’s best watermelons were finished.
In humans, generations change after 25 years. It will take us 200 years to figure what we were doing wrong while educating our children. Unless we employ our best to train the next generation, this is what can happen to us. We must attract the best into teaching profession."

This video has no ending. You decide.
This video has no message forced down your throat. You see what you want to see.
The world today can only see what it feels compelled to 'share' to stoke one's ego. It has stopped seeing the obvious.
We have lost the plot.
YOU hold the answers to stop the degeneration of humanity.
What's the plan? Please share it with me. I am scared.
Are You Lost in the World Like Me? (Animated Short Film by Steve Cutts) I did not create this, I'm just passing on art to you I feel should be recognized. This is a telling of the times by my favorite modern day animator Steve Cu...
This is what we aim for...and achieve. - children voluntarily immersed in the process of learning, exploring and applying the words we teach. This love is imbibed through our teaching-culture.
A teacher is successful when she allows the child to let go of her hand and run with the wind. Not just run. Run with passion, enjoyment and the desire to share his knowledge with others. That is a true gurukul.
Pure and authentic education does not need gimmicks and fancy propaganda. It needs the cultural essence of nurturing growth and gently extracting the best from the child, while subtly letting him know - that he is heard, understood and acknowledged. Learning has to be a voluntary, never-forced, never-stressed process. Magical and fun.
This is why we love
This is why VocaBOOMERs love
