Hit pop star Charli XCX announces her new album “Music, Fashion, Film” that is set to release on July 24th. It’s planned to be 11 songs and will be Charli’s last album since her 2024 album “brat”. The cover features The Velvet Underground’s John Cale, designer Marc Jacobs, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese.

Uphill, there is a low, slightly sloped roofline jutting from the woods. The building’s wall bears a tapestry of murals, and from a window, a sign reads: Protect Community Spaces. The breeze stirs the trees overhead and from within, the pop of static buzz whisk the ricochet of a snare drum through the pines. A microphone taps, squeals and explodes in sound. Punk is alive, ready to rally anarchy.
There are often places like this where nobody asks questions because everyone’s wired the same way. The look, the noise, the drive to stir things up; it’s all there. At the Ché Café in San Diego, the old is as in as the new. Don’t bother asking if punk is dead. Walk in and see for yourself.
Somewhere in all that noise is a complicated harmony between riot, persistent newsfeeds and viral distractions. Punk is alive but it’s drowning beneath a tidal wave of constant imagery. So, let us go back to the underground and find its pulse.
