We would love to hear your story for possible inclusion in an article being written how Latinas first entered a leadership role in the . We are interested in hearing if it was a nontraditional path i.e. no one else wanted to do the role, you had no experience but was put in a role or if it was traditional i.e. went to Bible School or Seminary, applied for a position, etc.
Some other things you can add are:
Were there intergenerational conflicts with your elders before/during leadership role?
Who was your greatest cheerleader before/during your leadership role?
How have other Latina women supported you in your role?
How have you prepared yourself for your role? Formal training i.e. seminary, special programs or informal training i.e. reading books, attending conferences, etc.
How did you see Latinas Lead before you stepped out to lead?
If you saw Latinas Lead was that the confidence booster you needed to do the same?
Thank you for any input you can provide!
