Living Archive....our elderly persons are truly our source of wisdom, history and culture. We must support them as well as learn from them. Its important to document and preserve their expertise, experience and memories. As we mark this year's International Elderly Persons day, a year that large number of elderly persons perished due to the pandemic, Amani Institute Uganda will initiate a new project "Aboka Lam" an Oral History Narrative Project. Congratulations to all the people in Gulu for attaining a city status today 01 July 2020. This is testament of hope and resilience.

That Gulu is amongst the elite towns in the country, despite its recent history of conflict and devastation, is evidence enough of the power of the people united in a common cause.

We have worked together, picked ourselves up from the ashes of war, and here we are. Alluta continua. The sky is no longer a limit. Let's welcome the world and showcase our richness in hearts, nature and in all forms of human endeavors.

Isn't Uganda the leading net importer of Covid19 cases today??? Just asking as we hit 160 cases with a daily average of 15 imported cases for the last 10 days.. set our people free and manage ur imports...stop lying to Ugandans that truck drivers are being controlled when some are freely moving on Gulu streets with Covid19
