Just a quick promo:
If you already have a student at ISU, a freshman heading here this year or a student wanting to take a visit this year, have them stop by our center in the State Gym and check us out. We also have special climbing wall hours next week for incoming freshmen from 12-2, also at the State Gym Rec. Center.

For those who have not heard, I have accepted a position as Senior Director of Outdoor Adventures at Iowa State University this coming school year. I wanted to thank all the students, parents and staff that have supported the outdoor leadership program. I will miss you all.

I wanted to send out a big shout out and congratulations to Oliver Palmer and Izaiah Hansen for being selected by the Johnson County Conservation Board as two of 12 area students to take part in a 10 day Wilderness Trek to the Selway-Bitterroot - Frank Church Wilderness Area in central Idaho. They make 4 students who have participated in the Outdoor Leadership program who have been selected for this trip. It is a great service learning and educational opportunity.

Had a great practice day covering belay techniques before heading to Pictured Rocks on Friday for our last climb of the school year.

School activities left me with only 3 students in class today, so we cooked and ate. Nice relaxing Friday.
