Rowan Rocketry at IEEE SAC 2026 🚀

This weekend, members of our IREC team attended the IEEE Student Activities Conference (SAC) at Rowan University—bringing together engineering students from across the Northeast.

We had the chance to showcase our project at our table, sharing our work and connecting with students from different schools and backgrounds. It was awesome exchanging ideas and representing Rowan Rocketry.

From hands-on workshops and competitions to networking and professional development, SAC is all about building skills and pushing innovation forward.

We are so proud and grateful for all those who contributed to this rocket over the years. We were able to write a launch in university history as the first launch to be successfully recovered with no damage.

Today, we got scrubbed so it looks like we are launching tomorrow morning @ 9:00 am EST. While it is sad that todays launch was not possible, we excited for tomorrow!

Day 3: The team completed the rocket and is trying to launch tomorrow morning/afternoon! (This is of course weather permitting) Stay tune tomorrow for full day coverage from start to finish!
