Lambda Chi Alpha offers the best fraternal experience, focusing on personal character development through leadership, scholarship, community service, and social experiences. As you will learn, Lambda Chi Alpha sets the standard for what you should expect out of a fraternity, but only the best will learn the secrets of Lambda Chi Alpha and attain the position of "brother".

addition to great social activities. Some Highlights of our Fraternity at UNO:

1. Lambda Chi Alpha has the largest living alumni base of any fraternity in the world, which will connect you with alumni in your future profession who share your experience.

2. The only fraternity at UNO to have a Fraternity house, allowing for private sorority mixers, clean, affordable Housing, and other events.

3. With brothers in Student Government, Student Activities Council, UNO Ambassadors, Latin American Student Association, Honorary Fraternities, The Honors Program, IFC and involved in community service projects, Lambda Chi Alpha is the leader in campus/community involvement thereby turning out well-rounded men.

4. Lambda Chi Alpha is the only fraternity at UNO to make the Forbes Magazine top five fraternities that turn out CEOs.

5. 100% anti-hazing and anti-pledging:
Lambda Chi Alpha was the first fraternity to do away with "pledging" and the first to abolish hazing. We offer brotherhood and respect, and we don't treat new members like crap.

6. We know how to give back. Lambda Chi Alpha organizes the largest food drive in the world, Feeding America. This past year our UNO chapter alone collected and donated 145,788.10 pounds of food; our chapter is one of the top 3 chapters out of all other Lambda Chi Alpha chapters to raise the most pounds of food for the country!

7. Rich history! ΛXΑ was founded at Boston University, in 1909, by one man - Warren A. Approaching our 100th anniversary, ΛXΑ proudly announced the initiation of the 250,000th brother in our bond in Alabama. In the Beginning...
Our chapter at UNO was founded after mergering two local UNO fraternities, ΣΑΓ and ΔΧΩ, with founding dates as far back as the year after UNO was founded: 1958. After seeing the advantages of joining a strong International Fraternity, the fraternities dissolved and joined Lambda Chi Alpha, forming our Chapter in 1964.

Good evening Brothers:

Thank you once again to the many brothers that reached out following last weeks’ newsletter.
It was truly great hearing from so many of you and I appreciate the comments we received. I also want to thank the alums that reached out to help us with the upcoming Spring initiation - something we haven’t done in many years.

As you may have seen in the newsletter, today, I am excited and hopeful as we launch our GoFundMe to help the finances of the chapter.
Please read the letter associated with our campaign. As the letter indicated, the money we raise will help our pandemic-stricken finances, help Feeding America and help put resources towards the repairs necessary due to Hurricane Zeta.
