After making the decision to be a stay and home mom, Suzie left her special education teaching career. Like everyone else, Suzie quickly consulted with google (i.e., Google Search) and found NOTHING special education-specific! So, she decided to help some of these kids on her own. Since she was now a stay-at-home mom... she had little choice but to conduct these sessions online, virtually! Better than anything she’d experienced in the classroom! These kids were actually excited and looked forward to the sessions! We quickly realized it’s because they viewed this as different! To these kids, this was NOT the mundane learning they had come to loath (school), this was actually fun, AND it was online, which is an activity they would openly choose during their free time! After years of struggling, self-confidence depletion, and academic regression... progress was FINALLY being made! Realizing we could make a massive positive impact on children who are too often overlooked... we launched SpecialEdTutoring.com! 🤫The truth is if I could take a USB thumb drive, and instantly upload everything a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) knows into my brain... I WOULD!
☹️But, I can't...
🤯The results of this magical program have been AMAZING!
😡Our son went from a constant aggressive onslaught of behavior...
👦To outbursts becoming the minority throughout his day...
😱IN JUST TWO MONTHS!!!!

Many years ago, when I was still a spring chicken... 🐥
There was a young man at our school who would blurt out random words and noises with no consistency and without warning... 🗣
Kids would make fun of him, mirroring what he did when he wasn't looking... 😆😆
Other kids would laugh and go about their day, not thinking much about it.
This type of environment is far too common, and this scenario happens way too frequently... 🤬
Not one of those kids even tried to understand what was truly happening, or attempt to know this young man. 🙇♀️
Instead, they stuck to their group, made snide remarks, and acted as though THEY could do no wrong... 💁♀️
Most adults are a lot like this... 🤯
Though they may not go around mimicking peoples behavior and laughing, their actions are almost as bad... 🤭
The staring, the facial expressions, the look of annoyance. 🤔
People notice that too... 🤫
➡️ Tourette Syndrome affects more than 100,000 people in the United States alone...
💡 ‼️‼️ It's time we all learn something about TS, so next time you see or hear someone exhibiting the signs... you can relate and perhaps offer a smile instead of a glare...

💯Here's the truth... The whole IEP process is flat out TERRIFYING for parents...
🚀The terminology, the process of gaining, keeping and changing one takes a rocket scientist to understand...
🙅♀️The fact that parents are supposed to contribute to these important meetings, is beyond concerning...
👨⚕️It's like going to the doctor's office to discuss a physical ailment your child has and a plan to fix it...
🤞YOU ARE FORCED TO TRUST THE DOCTOR...
😷 Because you know nothing about surgery, medicine, or the other things your child needs to heal...
🤔During an IEP, parents are forced to put 100% of their trust in the school system... because they're the experts... right?
🚫WRONG!!
❌Most IEP's we see are completely inaccurate...
🤫It's like the doctor having the wrong diagnosis and putting a plan in place to fix something that IS NOT BROKEN!
🦶Meanwhile, what actually is broken goes unchecked, gets worse, and begins to affect other areas of the body...
😠 In academics... the "other part" often affected are SEVERE behavior issues!
