All,
I am making preparation for a service of Holy Communion this Sunday at St. Albans. I plan to be present. If anyone comes please practice social distancing.

However, we are also planning to broadcast the service live. It will most like be via facebook live on this page. We may eventually move to zoom but that is dependent upon my ability to get our new internet installed and operating correctly.

Please stay tuned for updates.

God bless you,

+Council

The REAL story of St. Patrick's Day:

St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated every year on March 17, but why? Many who celebrate have only a vague idea that there was a real man — a Christian — named Patrick. He was born in Britain to a Christian family, but he didn’t come to know Christ until after he was kidnapped at age 15 by Irish pirates and sold to a harsh Druid man in Ireland.

Patrick was forced to work as a herdsman by his captors, and during that time he would pray for hours. At age 22, he escaped and returned to Britain. But several years later, he had a dream calling him back to Ireland to minister to the people there. Heeding the call, Patrick journeyed throughout Ireland, sharing Christ until his death, thought to have been around March 17, A.D. 461.

And that is the story of the man behind St. Patrick’s Day.

He is risen! We had a wonderful Sunday at St. Alban's Anglican Church. The pews were mostly full, the singing was glorious, the flowers diverting, and we had a wonderful feast following the service. It was not until I got home that I learned of the tragic Easter Day attacks in Sri Lanka.

All Christian's are affected by this attack. In the same way all Christians are all affected by the continual attacks on churches in Nigeria and Kenya, the burning of Notre Dame, and the recent church burnings in Louisiana.

However, all those tragedies do not change the fact that He is risen, indeed!
