The FEU Lady Tamaraws secured their first win in the series, defeating the JRU Lady Bombers in 3 sets. Gerzel Petallo took charge, scoring 8 points and earning MVP honors to power a strong start for the Green and Gold!

THE GOAL IS GOLD ✨

The green and gold community convened at Pavilion 1 last Tuesday, September 9, 2025, to meet their gold-getters in the brand new season of .

With the past season behind them, FEU student-athletes would have to keep in mind their mantra coming into this new season of UAAP: "Gold is the Goal." The rally was filled with gratitude from graduating student-athletes, and while some are destined for greater heights, a new set of FEU student-athletes are destined to rep the green and gold community.

‘Strength in Motion, Hope in Action’

The much-awaited UAAP Season 88 blazed into action with a grand press conference held today, August 27, 2025, at the Dr. Robert Sy Grand Ballroom of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Paredes Building. With this year’s theme, "Strength in Motion, Hope in Action," the event set the stage for a season poised to be a vibrant celebration of athleticism, unity, and resilience.

The program opened with a solemn Invocation and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by an energizing mood-setter video and a dynamic opening performance by the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe.

Fr. Rodel S. Cansancio, O.P., President of the UAAP Board of Managing Directors, warmly welcomed the attendees. This was followed by the official presentation of the UAAP Season 88 theme, logo, and theme song by Fr. Louie R. Coronel, O.P., Head of the UAAP Season 88 Secretariat; Asst. Prof. Mary Christie D. Que, Head of the UAAP Season 88 Committee on Collateral Designs; and Prof. Maria Alexandra I. Chua, Ph.D., Head of the UAAP Season 88 Committee for the Theme Song.

Highlighting the creative spirit of the host university, UST organized a theme song competition to encapsulate the essence of the season. Among the finalists were “Di Aatras” by Asst. Prof. John Christian Valeroso (3rd place), and “Posible ang Lahat” by Mr. Eric M. Advincula (2nd place). Emerging as the official anthem of the season was “Strength in Motion, Hope in Action” by Mr. Louell V. Baldoza, which captured the energy and optimism of UAAP Season 88. A live performance of the winning piece was delivered by renowned artist Mr. Kean Cipriano, marking a rousing highlight of the event.

An open forum followed, where members of the media engaged with organizers and key stakeholders to clarify details and gain insights into what lies ahead for the season.

The press conference concluded with a group photo opportunity, the singing of the UST Hymn, and a luncheon for the guests and participants.

As the host university, UST promises a season filled with passion, excellence, and inspiration, true to this year’s powerful theme.

After a well fought war with University of Santo Tomas the dust settles and after giving it their all, Far Eastern University - Diliman fell short 27-25, 21-25, 15-25, 25-14, 12-15. They're still crowned as the 1st Runner Up of Xavier Volleyball Cup 2025 U18 Boys Division
