Tall Trees Childminding

Our harvest tuff tray is already a big hit with the children. They love exploring the different textures and colours.
Also, we have started to read the colour monster and talk about our emotions. The children's work will be proudly put on display this coming week.

The playroom has had a face-lift and is all ready to be back to capacity next week. I've missed my term time children.
Looking forward to our newbies starting as well. Here's to another full, fun packed year.

World book day 2025, spent following the Stick Man trail at Sherwood Pines.
We had the best day, the children loved it and we even had a picnic in the glorious sunshine. We even had the extra bonus of seeing the characters from the Gruffalo.

Had another gorgeous morning at our favourite place. The Yorkshire wildlife park did not disappoint. The sun was shining, the animals were out. We had a cheeky hot chocolate and cake before having lots of fun on the play area with our friends from Giggle bugs childminders.

Last week we celebrated Chinese New Year with some dancing, decorating snakes and trying some Chinese food.
We also had a lovely day out to our local nature reserve to do a spot of bird watching. It was a beautiful day and the children absolutely loved it. We chose some new books and bird toys to take home.

We have been super busy this week. Our theme was birds, as we are taking part in the big bird watch from the RSPB.
We also included penguins as it was national penguin appreciation day.
We have been out and about feeding the wild birds, the children absolutely loved this and we learnt how important it is to give them food during the winter months.
We have made penguin pictures using different shapes, I am so proud of all the children because they all worked so hard and even the toddlers created some amazing work for our display. My list of what we have done this week is never ending 😃
We have had play dates with other children from our community and we have also welcomed a new friend to Tall Trees, it's like he has always been with us.
The children have been so welcoming and friendly.
What an amazing group of children I get the pleasure to care for every day.

Absolutely smashed my inspection this morning. Tall Trees is going from strength to strength 💪

Thats it for 2024, what a year its been. I just want to say that the families I work with are absolutely fantastic and so supportive. I couldn't have got through these last couple of months without you all so thank you and I hope you have the best Christmas.
Its been a year full of ups and downs and my family have been there through it all, I can't tell you how much you all mean to me.
Anyway no more soppy stuff I have opened up my rum so Merry Christmas you lovely lot x
