Since the big bang, the physical space of the universe has been expanding. Stars and galaxies maintain their sizes, but the space between them continues to grow! ↔️🌠

The universe is expanding, and that expansion stretches light traveling through the space in a phenomenon known as 𝙘𝙤𝙨𝙢𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙛𝙩. The greater the redshift, the greater the distance the light has traveled 🚀. As a result, telescopes with infrared detectors 🔭 are needed to observe light from the first and most distant galaxies 🌟.

𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭!☝️
In astronomy 🔭, cosmological redshift is also very related to “𝗛𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗹𝗲’𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘄”, which states that galaxies beyond the Earth move away more rapidly, providing strong evidence that the universe is expanding. This expansion was first observed by 𝗘𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗹𝗲, who discovered that most galaxies show redshifted light. 🚨

Additionally, cosmological redshift is not only caused by motion but can also occur due to gravity 🪐, known as 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙛𝙩, a prediction of 𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 📖. These concepts allow astronomers to study the structure 🌀, age ⏳, and evolution 🌠 of the universe.

🚀 Astronomers use cosmological redshift to determine the distance of faraway objects as well as how fast they are receding. Although the longest visible wavelength is red, light can extend even further into the infrared zone and beyond. At this point, it becomes difficult to make optical observations alone. 🛰️

The church also thoughtfully provided coffee and pandesal for everyone involved, making the activity even more meaningful and fulfilling for all. 🌱

👨‍🔬 We, the 𝗔𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻: 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯, are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve our community both inside and outside our school campus. 𝘚𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵, this activity serves as a reminder that maintaining a clean and healthy environment is a shared responsibility for everyone in our community. 🌊

🌝 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰?
On 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the United States launched a historic mission, 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀 𝗜𝗜, that brought humanity back around the Moon once again, after more than 50 years since the last crewed lunar mission on Apollo 17. The 10-day endeavor not only made history by returning humans to deep space, but also broke the record for the 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵, surpassing the previous record set during the Apollo-era missions. This mission catapulted humanity to new heights, becoming another crucial stepping stone for future space exploration, marking a truly historic moment for all of humanity. 📡

🌠 𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭! (𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞)
𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀 𝗜𝗜 made history with its crew as 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗞𝗼𝗰𝗵 became the first woman to travel that far from Earth, while 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 became the first Black astronaut to travel on a lunar mission. Additionally, 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗻 became the first Canadian astronaut to travel to the Moon. The mission was led by commander 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻, guiding this historic crewed journey around the Moon. These achievements mark a significant milestone particularly for people of color (POC) and communities around the globe, representing a major leap for diversity in space exploration. At the same time, it reminds us of how much more we still have to do in order for true equality and representation to continue progressing.

☀️ 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗗𝗮𝘆 (𝗭𝗦𝗗), also called 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗡𝗼𝗼𝗻, is a biannual tropical solar phenomenon when the Sun culminates at the zenith at solar noon, passing directly overhead.

🌏 The tropical solar event kickstarts in the places of Pangasinan that begins at 𝙐𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣 at 11:53 AM, while in the places of 𝘼𝙡𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙖, 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙤, 𝘽𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖, 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨, 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙏𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙨, 𝙑𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙨 at 11:54 AM, 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖, 𝘽𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙜, 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙢, 𝙎𝙖𝙣 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙤𝙨, 𝙐𝙧𝙗𝙞𝙯𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙤 at 11:55 AM, 𝘼𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙧 at 11:56 AM, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙖 11:57 AM on 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟯.
