The University of St. La Salle Basic Education, through the Office of Innovations in Teaching and Learning (INTEL), in partnership with Basecamp by Power Mac Center, organized the Apple Learning Academy last August 11โ12, 2025, at the Learning Resource Center.
This two-day, hands-on training was designed for educators who lead other educators, empowering them to explore impactful uses of iPad and Mac in the classroom. Guided by Apple Professional Learning Specialist Jean August Galsim and Education Account Manager Krisstofer Quemquem, participants comprising of administrators, innovation champions, and subject key persons engaged in immersive sessions on creative learning, coding, animation, and digital tools such as Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.
Day 1 focused on Creativity in Learning and Coding with Apple, where teachers created digital art, interactive lessons, and simple games using Swift Playgrounds. Day 2 challenged participants to design forward-thinking action plans tailored to their schools, culminating in presentations that celebrated innovation, collaboration, and purpose-driven teaching.
Through collaborative learning, peer feedback, and expert guidance, the Apple Learning Academy inspired educators to rethink how they create, collaborate, and curate activities that spark creativity, deepen learning, and personalize instruction.
The newly minted Apple Learning Academy Ambassadors now carry forward not just enhanced skills, but also the vision to foster meaningful change in their classrooms and communities.
