My kids have been doing Earth and Science projects since before the elementary school and yet I can count on one hand the number of times I remember them doing something at home on the subject. WHY?
Seems like a very important subject, and I know they love bugs and plants and animals and do care about the environment.
I think the Earth and Science field lacks a few things. number one it lacks the instant gratification kids are so used to. Clearly you can't plant a seed at the beginning of the class and see it grow in under an hour or two or a day or sometimes a week. Number two is lack of technological innovation for kids.
We see plenty of inventions in the field of robotics, mathematics, chemistry sets but not so much in earth and sciences. Again WHY?
So rather then complain we are going to be the ones to invent it. YAY... Go Team. We are going to create an awesome product that kids and teachers and parents alike will love. You will be able to teach in class, assign homework home and have it be engaging and techie and if you are a parent this will be an awesome STEM product to get your kids or as a gift for another child.
LET'S GET TO WORK.
