Recently I had the chance to tour the Piping Industry Technical College. Here they do an amazing job at practically training tradespeople to be ready for work. Complete with a sprinkler room for hands on experience (that uses completely reclaimed water!), the college trains students who are immediately ready to work after the program. They work with various education partners like Urban Circle First People’s Development Inc, @sevenoaksschooldivision and @maples_collegiate and students get picked up for work even before they’re finished the program! These jobs are in high demand. With the cleanest welding shop in North America, (and the cutest shop dog, hi Willow! 🐕) Pipefitters are providing the best training in the industry to train workers we need right here in Manitoba.
