A Great White Shark takes a bite out of floating kelp. - Last month I posted a video of this exact same shark biting a different piece of kelp. That video amassed millions of views, but instead of focusing on the unique behavior, unfortunately it got over 2000 comments of people arguing that it was an Orca instead of a shark. Anyhow, for education reasons, yes, this white shark appears rather dark on the top. That's because sharks vary in darkness based on many factors but mostly because some sharks tend to spend more time on the surface than others. Those sharks usually get a "tan", or in other words appear darker. Either way, I can assure you, this is not an Orca. And for the record, white sharks are named "white" because their bellies, not their backs. It is nearly pure white. It's part of their countershading, and a reason they are so successful at hunting. 29/10/2023
