Our first week back at pre-school has started well, we are enjoying having both children and parents back into setting and hearing what you have been up to over half term.
This is a very short half term with Easter arriving soon and a very muddy one as we all know from all the rain we have had our poor garden has become a big muddy mess but the children absolutely love all the learning experiences that it brings along with it.

We have made the most of a couple of dry days in our garden this week and explored climbing jumping and building.
Inside we have been practicing our maths,problem solving and threading and explored the tuff tray with soil and spaghetti.

Aston Clinton Pre-school is a village pre-school with a very well organised, small, friendly and committed team.
We have a “Good” rating Ofsted inspection and so to maintain our high standards we are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, motivated and has a willingness to take on responsibility and show initiative.
The applicant will be responsible and carry out all paperwork connected to being a key person.
You will need good record keeping skills and experience in completing weekly plans to comply with the EYFS.
You will be responsible for completing daily tasks and activities and will liaise with parents about their child’s progress by verbally speaking to them, attending parent's evenings and completing observations and reports online via tapestry.
The ideal candidate will have paediatric first aid and safeguarding training and will be up to date with the most recent legislation.
All employees are expected to attend or complete training and staff meetings when requested.
We are a pack away pre-school and so it is essential for the candidate to be able to manage the physical aspects of this job which involve setting out and packing away large and small resources and equipment.
The position is term time only. We currently require someone to work from
Monday - 8.45am – 3.15pm
Tuesday - 8.45am – 12.45pm
Wednesday - 11.30am – 3.15pm
Thursday - 8.45am – 3.15pm
Salaries will depend on qualifications and experience. Enhanced DBS checks will be carried out and references sort before the appointment of the successful candidate.

Wow, What a year...
Aston Clinton Pre-school has had a wonderful 2025 and as you can see from our photos we had a lovely time celebrating in December.
A massive thank you goes to all the Staff, Committee, Parents and Children who have made 2025 such a success.

We have had a busy week this week at Pre-school, after a lovely rest for half term we are back and celebrating all things Autumn!!

Back in the Spring The Guys from Cosy Conversions created this wonderful structure in our pre-school garden. As the weather is changing and becoming more unpredictable, we have been making great use of it.
