Join Casting Director, Writer & Actor Scotty Mullen for a high-impact workshop designed to help actors understand what truly makes them stand out in today’s industry.

With 11 years of casting experience across 150+ films, TV projects and vertical dramas, plus nearly 50 produced scripts, Scotty brings a unique 360° perspective into the room.

Actors will perform live scene work and receive honest, actionable feedback to elevate their audition technique from “good” to bookable.
Scotty will also break down the Top 5 Barriers to Entry for actors today; headshots, reels, social media presence, auditions and offers, and what casting is actually looking for in each area.

Let’s Chat: Stunts 🎬🥋

As part of our 10-Day Intensive, we’re lucky enough to train in mocap and stunts with the incredible TJ Storm, known for his iconic work as Godzilla, Darth Vader, Predator, and many more legendary action characters.

In this session, TJ works directly with our Hollywood Initiative students to break down the fundamentals of safe and effective action work on set.

We talk about:
• How to approach fight choreography safely
• Why distance and control are everything
• The importance of agreeing on speed before you start
• How actors can build confidence in action scenes
• What “safe but effective” actually means on set

Some mic-drop moments:
🔥 “We always discuss speed before we start.”
🔥 “Control the distance, control the speed.”
🔥 “Start slow, stay safe, then build.”

Action work isn’t about force, it’s about awareness, precision, and trust between scene partners. That’s how you build it safely in Hollywood.

AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺💛💚 What a journey.

Over the past few weeks, we travelled across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth with US Casting Director Jamie Castro for The Hollywood Initiative first-ever Australian tour.

To every actor who joined us, thank you. Thank you for showing up, taking risks, being vulnerable, asking questions, and investing in your craft. The level of talent, commitment, and passion we witnessed across the country was truly inspiring.

A huge thank you to Jamie for sharing her knowledge, generosity, and passion with every actor along the way. Between the early flights, airport coffees, plenty of laughs, and memories we’ll never forget, it was such a special experience to share this journey together.

And to everyone who helped make this tour possible, hosted us, supported us, and welcomed us into your acting communities, thank you.

Australia, thank you for making our tour one we’ll never forget.

I remember you coming into the 10-Day International Pilot Program with such an open mind and a real hunger to grow, and you fully leaned into every part of the process. That’s exactly where the shift happens and you did the work from preparation, to the program, and beyond.

What you said about taking the leap of faith really resonates. It’s not easy, and I never take for granted the trust it takes to say yes to something like this. So thank you for trusting yourself and the process.

I’m so proud of you and everything you stepped into over those 10 days, and this is only the beginning.
