Reminder: The Sioux Falls School Board Election will be held tomorrow April, 9th. It has been an honor to serve on the School Board for the last three years. I am thankful for the support of this community and hope you all get out to vote tomorrow. If re-elected I will continue my efforts to put students first!

I have enjoyed my time on the Sioux Falls School Board over the last three years and hope to continue serving the students, teachers, and staff in the Sioux Falls District. Here are examples of things we as a board have implemented during my time on the school board.

1. A multi-tiered system of supports to promote positive behavior and improve student success.
2. Increased methods for receiving stakeholder feedback with community engagement sessions, Lets Talk section of our district website, and other customer service channels.
3. Ground has been broken on the new west side elementary school to prevent classroom over-crowding.
4. Strengthened community partnerships to better serve students and families after school.
5. Effective use of ESSER funds. We are now determining which programs work and will continue to be a part of the budget.
6. Increased teacher salaries.
7. Increased substitute teacher pay.

I am thankful for the support of the community and hope you will all get out to vote on April 9th, 2024. If re-elected I will continue my efforts to put students first.

The KEY Network Committee had the opportunity to interview all of the SFSD School Board Candidates and the committee is happy to announce the following endorsements.

I have enjoyed my time on the SF School Board and I am happy to announce that I will be back on the ballot for the 2024 election. The election will be held on April 9th, 2024. I hope to be able to continue to advocate for the students in the Sioux Falls School District and would appreciate your support in getting re-elected.

REMINDER: Tomorrow Tuesday, May 18th is your last chance to vote! Voting will take place from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at all voting centers. I have been very humbled by all the support I have received from the Sioux Falls community. What I need now is for everyone to get out and vote for Marc Murren for School Board!

If you are still undecided, here are a few reasons why I would be a great addition to the Sioux Falls School Board.
1) I have a passion for students. I will base my decision making on what is best for all students.
2) If elected I want to continue and expand conversations with community members, school personnel, and parents. I want to continue to work together to improve educational opportunities for all students.
3) My priority is that every child learns to read. Reading supports their entire curriculum. I would like this to be an area the board focuses on.

I continue to be amazed by the support I have received from the Sioux Falls community. Throughout this process I have had the opportunity to reconnect with former students, parents, colleagues, and old friends. I have also met some wonderful members of the community. I hope you will continue supporting me by voting in this election.
You can still vote early on Monday May 17th at the Instructional Planning Center. THE FINAL DAY TO VOTE IS TUESDAY, MAY 18th, 2021. On Tuesday you can vote at anyone of the 13 voting centers.
