Bring the whole family for a joyful, community‑centered celebration inspired by the historic tradition of rent parties, where neighbors gather to support one another through food, music, and togetherness. All donations will go towards our in-house sliding scale, making it afforable for families to experience high-quality Montessori early childhood learning.

If a white racist woman can raise over $900,000 for simply being harmful to a young Black child, we can raise $30,000 to sustain Sankofa Learning Center’s sliding scale! Enrollment Open for Montessori African-Centered Program
For children aged 3 to 5 years, we offer a nurturing, culturally rich, and developmentally appropriate learning environment based on Montessori principles.

Our program features:
• African-centered curriculum that celebrates heritage and fosters a deep sense of cultural identity.
• Outdoor learning experiences designed to connect children with nature and encourage hands-on exploration.
• A full-day schedule, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a balanced routine of academic, social, and creative growth.

Sankofa Learning Center will be opening our doors to prospective families and our community. Come drop off or stay while your child experiences Montessori and our culturally affirming space. This is an opportunity for a little child care so you can run some quick errands or stay around the space and explore too! You must register for this event as we will need a little information beforehand. Please fill out the form and we will get back to you with additional information. This is for families interested in Sankofa Learning Center and want to explore our learning environment! Families with 2.5-4 years are welcome to register. If your child is not potty trained, you must accompany your child for the day.

Pub Day!
Mae We Be Free books are out in the world now. Thank you all for supporting this project! All of my big dreams have stemmed from raising Black children. From Sankofa Learning Center to these early readers, they are physical manifestations of the love I have for my sons. I wish my children got to experience these books when they were first starting to read AND I am so glad that others can benefit from Mae We Be Free Early Readers. Stay tuned for a little local teach-in soon!
