President Trump is heading into a high-stakes NATO summit with a new rift already hanging over the alliance.

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council secretary warned US President Donald Trump that Tehran would respond “in another language” unless he spoke to the Iranian people “with respect,” after Trump said the United States would “finish the job” if no deal is reached with Iran.

“I say to the delusional president of the United States, who today threatened 91 million Iranians: Speak to the Iranian people with respect, or we will respond to you in another language,” Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr said.

Zolghadr said Trump had previously used similar language to threaten Iran’s “several-thousand-year-old civilization,” adding that the result for Washington had been “defeat, desperation and requests for negotiations and a ceasefire.”

Trump earlier said Washington was “close to maybe making a deal” with Iran but warned: “We’re either going to make a deal or we’re going to finish the job.”

Trump also said the United States could “knock down” Iran’s bridges “in one hour” and take out its energy supply and power plants “

After reported assassination threats from the U.S. and Israel, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi delivered a defiant message:

Your threats are beneath our feet.

If we feared death, we would never have stood in this fight. We would never have sacrificed our finest men in defense of our homeland. For us, dignity matters more than submission, and freedom matters more than fear.

Death while defending our land is not defeat. The real defeat would be living on our knees, watching our country placed under the control of foreign powers, ruled by those who believe they can threaten, bomb, and intimidate nations into surrender.

Iran’s message is clear: pressure will not break us, threats will not silence us, and no foreign power will decide our future.

We were born free.

Somali referee Omar Artan, who made global headlines after being denied entry into the US to officiate matches at the ongoing 2026 Fifa World Cup, received a hero’s welcome in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area on Friday evening.

🚨 BREAKING: In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 against President Trump’s executive order limiting birthright citizenship from children of illegal immigrants.

The historic decision solidifies the strength of the 14th Amendment reinforcing 158 years of legal precedent since the 14th Amendment was officially ratified into the U.S. Constitution.

Chief Justice Roberts led the majority in support of the ruling, writing, "Those children are thus subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. They satisfy both elements of the Citizenship Clause: they are 'born . . . in the United States' and 'subject to the jurisdiction thereof.' Under the Constitution, they are citizens at birth."

Roberts was joined by Justices Sotomayor, Kagan, Barrett, and Jackson.

Justice Kavanaugh concurs in part in the judgment and dissents in part while Justices Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch dissent.
