2025 was a year of remembering, learning, and returning to the land. Earth and Art Sustainable Workshops explored Nigeria’s indigenous crafts as living, sustainable practices.
We do not approach our traditional arts as relics of the past but as knowledge systems that still shape how we create today.
Last year, Our Art Is Enough reminded us that our creative traditions are deeply rooted in earth, fibre, fire, and community.
During the course of the year 2025, we also hosted three hands-on workshops in basket weaving, one on mat weaving, two on paper making, and a one month course on pottery, creating spaces where participants could slow down, work with natural materials, and reconnect with the process.
As we look toward 2026, our focus deepens.
We’re expanding our work with indigenous arts, exploring how they intersect with contemporary creative practice, and intentionally opening these conversations to young people and school-aged learners. Our goal is to nurture curiosity early, build eco-conscious creative habits, and ensure traditional knowledge continues to live, adapt, and grow.
Our art is not behind us.
It is with us.
And it is enough.
