Smart Women and Digital Income is not just an initiative, it is a vision and a progressive approach toward empowering women through technology. Through this program, we are helping women especially those living in rural areas learn digital skills and explore opportunities to earn an income from home.

In our society, many women are unable to work outside their homes due to social and cultural barriers, while others face limited opportunities because of a lack of education and skills. Recognizing these challenges, SCAL launched this project to create pathways for women's economic empowerment through digital inclusion.
We are proud to share that the project has successfully trained women in the districts of Badin, Thatta, and Mirpurkhas. Following the training, several participants have started promoting and selling their products through social media platforms and are now generating income independently.
This is only the beginning. Together, we must continue working to expand opportunities for women and strengthen their role in the digital economy.

بااختیار خواتین، مضبوط معاشرہ"

اسمارٹ ویمن اینڈ ڈیجیٹل انکم ایک ایسا وژن ہے جو خواتین کی معاشی خودمختاری اور ڈیجیٹل شمولیت کے ذریعے معاشرتی ترقی کو فروغ دینے کی سمت ایک اہم قدم ہے۔ اس منصوبے کا بنیادی مقصد بالخصوص دیہی اور شہری دونوں علاقوں کی خواتین کو ڈیجیٹل مہارتوں سے آراستہ کر کے انہیں گھر بیٹھے آمدنی کے مواقع فراہم کرنا ہے۔
پاکستان کے سماجی ڈھانچے میں بہت سی خواتین کو ثقافتی اور معاشرتی پابندیوں کی وجہ سے گھر سے باہر ملازمت کے مواقع حاصل نہیں ہو پاتے، جبکہ کچھ خواتین تعلیمی اور فنی مہارتوں کی کمی کے باعث معاشی سرگرمیوں میں مؤثر طور پر حصہ نہیں لے پاتیں۔ ایسے حالات میں اس نوعیت کے اقدامات خواتین کی معاشی شمولیت کو فروغ دینے میں اہم کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔
کراچی، بدین، ٹھٹھہ اور میرپورخاص جیسے اضلاع میں اس پروگرام کے تحت متعدد خواتین کو ڈیجیٹل مہارتوں کی تربیت فراہم کی گئی ہے۔ اس تربیت کے بعد کئی خواتین نے سوشل میڈیا کو بطور پلیٹ فارم استعمال کرتے ہوئے اپنی مصنوعات کی تشہیر اور فروخت کا آغاز کیا ہے، جس کے نتیجے میں وہ خودمختار آمدنی حاصل کرنے کے قابل ہو رہی ہیں۔
یہ پیش رفت اس بات کی نشاندہی کرتی ہے کہ اگر خواتین کو مناسب تربیت اور مواقع فراہم کیے جائیں تو وہ نہ صرف اپنے گھروں کی معاشی حالت بہتر بنا سکتی ہیں بلکہ معاشرتی ترقی میں بھی فعال کردار ادا کر سکتی ہیں۔
اس شعبے میں مزید اقدامات اور تسلسل کی ضرورت ہے تاکہ زیادہ سے زیادہ خواتین ڈیجیٹل معیشت کا حصہ بن سکیں اور پائیدار ترقی کے اہداف حاصل کیے جا سکیں۔
