Last night at the Liberty Leaders Showcase, 6th graders in Ms. Ridge's class did a wonderful job of presenting their projects about American leaders. The students researched American leaders and their contributions to our country. The students created tri-fold posters with information about their leader and dressed up to represent their leader at the wax museum with other 6th grade classes.
Great work students!! We are proud of your hard work!

Student’s in Coach K’s Geography/World History courses applied modern geospatial technologies using Garmin Etrex 10 GPS devices and real on the ground measurement to determine how accurate GPS really is!

Students in Coach K’s , Coach Allen and Coach McLain’s classes participated in a topographic drone mapping activity, using aerial imaging to collect geographic data and create detailed land maps. The hands-on experience introduced them to surveying, GIS, and real-world applications in engineering and environmental science, while building skills in technology, problem-solving, and collaboration.

Students in Ms. Ridge's 6th grade History class recently completed a project for their unit on Immigration of the Early 1900's. The students created suitcases to represent the countries in which they immigrated from. Some of the countries represented are Cuba, Dominican Republic, France, England, Ecuador, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Mexico, Scotland, and the continent of Africa. We have learned so much about our family history and the many countries that we each are from.

Students in Coach K’s classroom, along with our intern Ms. Crosson collaborated to create the Ancient India Shark Tank! Students worked tirelessly to come up with ideas or innovations that centered around ancient India and very bravely present them to our sharks (our teachers). A huge thank you to everyone who took part in making the Shark Tank a success and providing this great experience for our students!

Coach K’s Ancient History as well as Geography classes have been busy wrapping up the school year with some awesome activities! Pictured below are students completing and exhibiting the following: Building process of the Traditional and Step pyramids as well as possible usages, topographic mapping of Russellville campus, GPS accuracy, and soil testing. Students also participated in a Black Death simulation throughout Europe in 8th grade to help them learn more about the epidemic and 7th grade students participated in a geocache to learn about the world climate zones.
