Our C2C student got asked to put together a mini recital for his church to help with their fundraising efforts. He worked really hard and put together this programme in just a few weeks: Prelude in C Major - Bach, Minuet in G Major - Petzold, Fur Elise - Beethoven, Arabesque - Burgmuller, Waltz in A minor - Chopin, and Somersault King - Schoenmehl. We put this together in less than a month 😅--things that he's been working on presently, as well as past favourites.
I love that 1) my student said yes 2) he's learned so much with planning and putting together a programme 3) he could throw together 20 minutes of music at the "last minute" 4) he's sharing what he learned with others 5) he has awesome encouragement and support at home! 😍😎🎉

Proud of our Level 7 RCM piano student! He received 90% on his exam!! He played Toccatina op. 8, no. 1 by Samuel Maykapar, Halley's Comet by Nancy Telfer, Bo***ée in F Major by Georg Philip Telemann, Sonata in A Minor, Op. 88, no.3 First Movement by Friedrich Kuhlau, and Mazurka in A flat Major, op.24, no.3 by Frédéric Chopin. Well done F! That was a lot of hard work!! 💥

Congratulations to our Level 5 RCM student! She received a mark of 83% on her piano exam. She played Harmony of the Angels by Burgmüller, Chromatic Monochrome by Ikeda, Angloise by JC Bach, Sonatina in G major by Diabelli, and Melancholy Reflections by Schoenmehl. One of the Examiner's comments: "A lyrical performance with a beautiful singing quality in the playing."

Congratulations to our Level 6 RCM piano student. He received a mark of 90% -- First Class Honours with Distinction! He played Aria in G major by Telemann, As Swift As A Deer by Türk, Waltz in A minor by Chopin, Heartache by Fuchs, and Jazz Piece No 2 by Oscar Peterson. Lots of lovely, positive comments from the Examiner. Way to go, F!

He played Arabesque by Johann Friedrich Burgmüller, Left Alone by Joyce Grill, Musette in D Major by JS Bach, Sonatina in G Major: Romance by Ludwig van Beethoven, and The Elegant Toreador by Seymour Bernstein.
Congratulations to our Level 5 RCM Theory student! He received First Class Honours: a mark of 89/100 on his first theory exam. Level 5 Piano and Theory certificate and exams completed. Lots of hard work went into this and we are very proud of him!!!
