Dear Players and Parents,
I wanted to let you all know that I will not be returning as the girls golf coach in the fall as I have accepted a position with Springfield Public Schools. This was a hard decision, but one that will allow me to be closer to home and be able to attend my children’s sports and school events. Thank you for allowing me to coach you the past 2 years, I truly enjoyed my time as your coach. I know you all will do great in the fall and I plan on keeping in contact with Coach Abraham on how each of you do this upcoming season. Congratulations Brooklyn!!

Congratulations to Brooklyn Warfel for earning DCTC's January Student of the Month award! Brooklyn is a junior from Buffalo High School and is enrolled in Mrs. Brownfield's Teacher Education Preparation program. Brooklyn's nomination read:

Brooklyn is so fun to be around. Her attitude is always positive. I love her initiative. I had the pleasure of watching her work in her practicum and her teacher never had to tell her to do anything. She learned the routine and just did what was expected: wrapped snacks, set the table, and helped the student that brought snacks hand them out to their friend. She ran their fall party bean bag toss activity and really engaged with the littles. She volunteered for our concession stand and ran it for a solid 30 minutes with a baby on her hip! She sold raffle tickets to help raise money for our building too. She has such good old fashioned work ethic. She’s going to be a wonderful teacher. I’m so glad she chose to take my program.

Congratulations, Brooklyn! We know you will do great things!

Boosters are ordering Conference Champions golf shirts for the girls golf team and wanted to make them available for anyone else that wanted one! I am ordering Monday morning, so please reply ASAP with your size if you want to purchase one. They are $15 each with $2 up charge for 2XL, $3 for 3XL and so on. The picture of what they will look like is attached, the color of the shirt is charcoal.

The Lady Bison competed in district play Monday at Cassville and braved the wet and rainy conditions and competed with the high winds. The girls played their hearts out and put forth their best effort, but unfortunately, their season came to an end. It has been a great season with lots of improvements made from the start of the season. The future looks ☀️ for the Lady Bison Golf team!
