NEWS | SITE wins Summer Fest cheer dance competition

SPUP’s Summer Fest commenced with a standout performance as SITE claimed the championship title in the opening cheer dance competition. The event was preceded by the opening ceremony including the Eucharistic celebration, messages from Dr. Agripina Maribbay (Vice President for Academics and Quality Assurance) and Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President), torch lighting, and oath taking.

As part of the opening events, the cheer dance competition served as the highlight of the day. It brought together Paulinians across departments in a display of teamwork, choreography, and school pride. SITE took the stage as the second performer and performed a routine composed of loud cheers and sharp movements. The team also demonstrated a series of well-executed stunts that fueled the audience’s excitement.

SASTE also delivered a strong performance and earned the first runner-up spot. SNAHS and SBAHM completed the podium as the second and third runner-up, respectively.

With this win, SITE set the tone for what is shaping up to be a memorable Summer Fest for the department.

NEWS | SITE students recognized in First Semester President’s and Dean’s List

The University Registrar has officially released the list of President’s and Dean’s Listers for the First Semester, recognizing students who achieved outstanding academic performance across the institution. Among those honored are several students from the School of Information Technology and Engineering (SITE), whose scholastic achievements reflect the department’s strong academic culture and commitment to excellence.

The following students from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program earned a place on the President’s List for attaining exceptional grade averages:

1. Jacinto Gabriel Tong (BSIT 3) – GWA 1.18
2. Maria Riana Janell Tong (BSIT 4) – GWA 1.21
3. Andrei Eon Adducul (BSIT 1) – GWA 1.25

The Registrar also recognized the following students from SITE who qualified for the Dean’s List for their commendable academic performance:

They received their awards during the 4th Annual Pinning and HardHatting Ceremony on April 25, 2026, at St. Paul University Philippines.

SPUP SITE Celebrates 4th Annual Pinning and Hardhatting Ceremony

St. Paul University Philippines SPUP- School of Information Technology and Engineering, in collaboration with the PICE - SPUP Student Chapter, celebrated a key milestone in its engineering programs with the successful holding of the 4th Annual Pinning and Hardhatting Ceremony on April 25, 2026, at the MM Hall.

Under the theme “BUILDING WITH INTEGRITY: FORMING PAULINIAN ENGINEERS FOR ETHICAL AND RESPONSIBLE PRACTICE,” the event showcased the school's dedication to developing future engineers who are both technically skilled and morally upright. Guest speaker Engr. Ma. Evangeline R. Mellano shared an inspiring message, drawing on her experiences as a paulinian engineer to motivate aspiring Paulino Inhinyeros.

The ceremony formally recognized engineering students as they transitioned to the next phase of their academic journey, symbolized by the pinning and hardhatting rites—powerful traditions that signify readiness to assume the responsibilities of the engineering profession.

Adding to the celebration was the awarding of the Certified Autodesk AutoCAD User designation, which acknowledged students who demonstrated proficiency in industry-relevant digital design tools. This recognition underscores the university’s dedication to equipping its learners with globally competitive skills.

The event was attended by faculty members, proud families, and students, all gathered to honor excellence, perseverance, and the Paulinian spirit of service and integrity.

Indeed, the ceremony served as both a celebration of achievement and a reminder of the vital role engineers play in building a future anchored in responsibility, innovation, and ethical practice.
