Parenting Book Club at Make A Circle

Parenting can be beautiful, meaningful, exhausting, and overwhelming all at once.
This new 15-week book club is for parents who want encouragement, wisdom, faith, and community in the middle of real family life.

Starting May 12, we’ll read and discuss Paul David Tripp’s Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family together in a warm, discussion-based setting.

This is not a space for perfect parents.
It’s a space for real parents who want to reflect honestly, grow in grace, and be encouraged alongside others.

• Time: Every Tuesday, 11:00 AM–12:30 PM
• Duration: 15 weeks
• Location: Make A Circle, Gwanggyo
• Language: Mainly English, Korean welcome too

부모로 살아간다는 것은 참 아름답고 의미 있는 일이지만, 동시에 지치고 벅차고 흔들릴 때도 많습니다.
이번 Make A Circle의 15주 Parenting 북클럽은 그런 부모님들이 함께 격려받고, 지혜를 얻고, 믿음과 공동체 안에서 다시 힘을 얻는 시간이 되기를 바라며 준비한 모임입니다.

를 함께 읽고 나누게 됩니다.

이 모임은 완벽한 부모를 위한 자리가 아니라,
현실 속에서 고민하고 배우고 성장하고 싶은 진짜 부모들을 위한 자리입니다.

모임 안내

• 시간: 매주 화요일 오전 11:00–12:30

• 언어: 영어 위주, 한국어도 편하게 가능

✨ What is 평평하다?
Literal: “flat and even”—a smooth surface with no bumps or slopes.
Practical:
1️⃣ Describing roads, floors, or ground that are easy to walk on.
2️⃣ Talking about anything level, smooth, or neatly laid out.

“This path is so 평평해—walking here is super easy.”
“The table isn’t 평평해서 my coffee keeps sliding.” ☕️

Quick nuances ▶️

∙ Often used with places: 길이 평평하다 (the road is flat).
∙ Helpful for daily life: describing parks, sidewalks, or floors in apartments.
∙ Simple but essential survival vocabulary in Korea.

❄️ GGN Ski Day Trip = SUCCESS! ⛷️🏂
We went with a small crew (7 total — me + my 3.5yo daughter + friends from Russia/Korea, India, and the U.S.) and it was such a good day.

Jisan Resort is only 30 minutes away, the sun was shining, and somehow… zero wind = not even that cold 😄☀️
Ticketing + transport + lessons weren’t simple, but thanks to our group chat teamwork, everything flowed smoothly.

Two of us took a lesson (super helpful + friendly instructor), and my little one tried her first “baby ski” steps — no lift yet, but BIG progress 🥹🎿

We finally all met at lunch, shared stories, and after that… apres-ski vibes with beers + new friendships 🍻💛
These are the moments that make GGN feel like home.

❄️ GGN 스키 트립 대성공! ⛷️🏂
큰 그룹은 아니었지만(총 7명!)
저 + 3살 반 딸 + 한국계 러시아인/인도/미국 친구들과 함께 진짜 알찬 하루 보내고 왔어요 😊

지산리조트가 차로 30분이라 너무 좋았고,
기온은 낮았는데 신기하게 바람 0 + 햇빛 가득이라 하나도 안 춥더라고요 ☀️😄

티켓/교통/강습 준비가 쉽진 않았지만
오픈채팅에서 다 같이 소통하면서 착착 정리돼서 완전 매끄럽게 진행! 🙌
두 분은 강습도 받고, 저는 딸이 첫 스키(?) 도전했는데… 리프트는 못 탔어도 밑에서 한 걸음씩 배우는 것만으로도 충분히 의미 있었어요 🥹🎿

점심 때 처음 다 같이 모여 수다 떨고,
그 이후엔 맥주 한 잔 하면서 찐친 되는 시간까지 🍻💛
이런 게 바로 GGN의 매력이죠!

앞으로도 아웃도어 이벤트 더 많이 할 예정이고,
2월에는 롯데월드 트립도 계획 중이에요 🎡✨
