Students studying A Level English Literature and A Level English Language and Literature were treated to the most fantastic sessions today from Dr Neil C***s from University of Reading.

We all thoroughly enjoyed two engaging and dynamic lessons exploring the language of poetry and different readings of Jane Eyre.

We’re so grateful for the thought provoking sessions and the wonderful way Dr C***s challenged our learners - thank you so much.

Happy half-term to our fantastic students!
What a busy but brilliant first half term we’ve had, full of trips, workshops, performances and learning.
We should have guessed how tired our learners were when our body-prop work all featured beds!! Enjoy a well deserved rest! 🎭👏

Today has been a very special day. We were beyond delighted to host Voices of the Holocaust and their production of ‘Kindness: A Legacy of the Holocaust’, which has been an incredible experience for everyone involved.

Students from A Level Drama, English Language and Literature, History, French, Government and Politics, Sociology and RS, as well as Performing Arts learners, were able to experience this powerful piece of verbatim theatre in our Big Room theatre space.

This was an amazing story based on the testimony of Holocaust survivor Susan Pollack MBE, and we got to spend the day learning more from co-writer and director Cate Hollis.

We have all learnt so much from this fantastic experience, and we can’t thank Voices of the Holocaust enough for being with today, and inspiring us all so much. Voices of the Holocaust A Levels Cymoedd Coleg y Cymoedd
