Learn all about Equity - The world equity market is on steroid. It goes through the roller-coaster, yet the net movement is only upwards. Let’s put a number on it. Between 1985 to 2015, world equity market zoomed in from USD 2.47 trillion to USD 99.52trillion. Another way to understand the breathtaking size of equity market is to visualise this as 1.2 time of entire world’s GDP.

We often hear new types of equity securities launched. We find equity as underlying to many derivative transaction such as Equity SWAP, which is a major derivative in OTC market.

No discussion of investment or world economy is complete without the mention of equity. No wonder it carries complexities with its ever-growing size.
