📢 2025 NTHU 3MT 公告 Announcement

感謝大家對 2025 NTHU 三分鐘英語研究簡報競賽（NTHU 3MT）的關注與支持。在大家的熱情投入下，本屆活動已於週三晚間圓滿落幕，我們由衷感謝所有參與者的努力與展現。

We sincerely thank you for your enthusiastic support of the 2025 NTHU Three Minute Thesis (NTHU 3MT) competition. With the collective passion and dedication of our participants, this year’s event successfully concluded on Wednesday evening.

然而，我們也誠實並嚴肅面對本屆比賽中投票機制所產生的爭議。經調查發現，於決賽現場，有觀眾透過重整投票頁面進行重複投票，導致「人氣獎」票數異常，最終超過 400 筆投票，與實際到場人數有極大落差。該行為亦經多位現場觀眾提出檢舉，並有錄影存證。

However, we must also acknowledge and address a serious concern regarding the People’s Choice Award voting process. An investigation confirmed that during the final event, a member of the audience repeatedly refreshed the voting page to cast multiple entries, resulting in an abnormally high vote count—over 400 votes, which significantly exceeded the actual number of attendees. This behavior was reported by multiple audience members and supported by video evidence.

本次投票採用開放式表單，未設定登入限制，是主辦方延續往年經驗，基於互信與便利的作法。對此疏漏，我們深感遺憾，並承擔全責。

The voting system used an open Google Form without login restrictions—a method continued from past years for its simplicity and mutual trust. We sincerely regret this oversight and take full responsibility.

為維護比賽公平性與公信力，2025 NTHU 3MT 決定 取消「人氣獎」獎項。
此決定與任何參賽者皆無關聯，請勿將票數異常與選手本身產生誤解。

To uphold the fairness and integrity of the competition, the 2025 NTHU 3MT committee has decided to withdraw the People’s Choice Award.
This decision is in no way related to any individual contestant, and we kindly ask that no assumptions be made regarding any participant in connection with the irregular vote count.

🔧 未來我們將採取以下改進措施：
🔹 重新設計觀眾投票機制，導入驗證機制防止灌票
🔹 活動前公告並現場說明投票原則與規則
🔹 強化現場導引與即時應變機制

🔧 Moving forward, we will implement the following improvements:
🔹 Redesign the audience voting process with verification mechanisms to prevent ballot stuffing
🔹 Clearly announce and explain voting rules both before and during the event
🔹 Strengthen on-site guidance and real-time response mechanisms

NTHU 3MT 的核心精神，在於促進研究溝通，激發學術表達的可能性。我們期盼每位參賽者都能保有這份對知識的熱情，將這次經驗化作前行的養分。
