I’m still floored at how each jOeCHEM year keeps showing more and more viewership each year, with 2024 being the biggest and best year so far.

For all those who watched this year, I hope you got the results in the classroom you wanted, and if you didn’t, keep that chin up, take a deep breath, and retool for round 2 (you got this!).

I’m working on some other things in my life (my coding career, planning my wedding with my kick ass fiancé), so if you ever happen to wonder what’s going on with jOeCHEM, it’s a little quiet, but I’m still here :)

I hope your 2025 is off to a great start, gang. Let’s get it.

“Hey, there! My name’s Vinayak, and I am super excited to be joining the jOeCHEM team! I plan to work specifically on content strategy, making sure that jOeCHEM’s videos, worksheets, and walkthroughs reach as many people as possible.

Hey, gang,

I know I’ve been really quiet this past year, and I’m very sorry about that. My job & other life stuff has kept me crazy busy, so this was kinda an “off” year in terms of the effort I like to put into jOeCHEM.

But I’m still here, and I have big plans to work on during the summer and put into effect next year (which I know may not apply to some of you, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).

Also, I’ll be putting out a survey in the next few days to get feedback from all of you brave jOeCHEMists, if you can spare a few minutes.

ALSO, I had the opportunity to speak with someone awesome from the Pitt News (shout out Colm), and they wrote this great piece about jOeCHEM.

Fall semester 2021 versus fall semester 2020 video views.

jOeCHEMists, I’m floored, humbled, and shocked. I remember the first semester of jOeCHEM saw a few thousand views, and I was stoked. To see 100k in just 4.5 months is 🍌s. I was off my game this semester, but expect (for real this time) more content from me, all in the hopes of helping you all show carbon who’s boss.

Good luck on finals—you got this. You’ve prepared. Take a deep breath, do your best, feel proud of yourself, and then sleep a ton over break.
