I speak fluently nine languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Catalan, Italian, Czech, Ukrainian, and russian.
All Indo-European family.
I want to learn Mandarin, Standard Arabic, Hindustani, Japanese and Korean.
Each of them are significantly more difficult to learn.
I’m 39 years old.
Do you think it’s doable? 😅

Someone just asked me if I could give them language classes for 10-15€ an hour.

FYI, in Barcelona this is a fair price for cleaning apartments. People with zero education and zero experience get this salary. Which is fair.

When I argued that this price is completely unfair and unsustainable for me given my experience in learning and teaching languages (I have learnt eight languages and have taught over forty students all over the world) and honestly, taking into account current rents in Barcelona. The person then proceeded to shame me for not being “a mature person” and paying rent instead of living in my own flat.

Wait a second, darling, I need to make a deposit for my new apartment in Barcelona with 10€ per hour that you pay me once a week for language classes, which you gonna quit after two months… 🤣

A la pandèmia vaig fer un intercanvi de idiomes amb una professora de català. I ara parlo bastant bé el català i ella va millorar el seu alemany bastant i fa mes de 2 anys que vivia a Alemania i ara viu a Àustria. Llavors ens va servir el intercanvi molt.

M’agradaria molt millorar el meu català i es per això que busco professor o professora de català que vol fer un intercanvi amb mi. Ofereixo el anglès , alemany o rus.

Seven’s a good number. I like seven.
