Developing sound recognition, blending, and early reading and writing foundations

Hi parents 👋🌈
I wanted to share a bit more context about what Little Leaps is built to do, as it follows a very different approach to early learning.
Little Leaps is built on a meticulously designed methodology focused on preparing children for long-term learning success — not just filling time or offering age-based activities. We build the skills children actually need to thrive in group settings, school environments, and eventually drop-off, based on developmental readiness, not age alone.
While the average age for drop-off is around 2–2.5 years, successful transitions depend far more on whether a child has developed confidence, communication, emotional regulation, and the ability to try independently.
These early foundations don’t just support the move into drop-off — they set the tone for how a child learns and engages long-term.
At Little Leaps, every class is intentionally structured to build these skills through guided play, purposeful interaction, and age-appropriate challenges — all within a warm, playful, and highly engaging environment 🎶🧠🌈
This is why many Little Leaps families use the program as a developmental bridge into drop-off, transitioning when their child is genuinely ready.

Drop Off Intro to Phonics & Phonics 1 classes to teach letter names & sounds to 3 letter blends, tracing to beginner's sentence writing. Children can pick up 3 letter blends within 3 classes!
