🤔Did you know this?🇫🇷🇯🇲

👉🏾We generally use 'Oui' to mean 'Yes' in French and 'Non' to mean 'No'.
👉🏾However, if you are asked a negative question, use 'Si' to mean 'Yes' instead of 'Oui'.

Example:
📌Tu n'aimes pas le chocolat chaud?
(Don't you like hot chocolate?)

📌Si. J'aime le chocolat chaud.
(Yes. I like hot chocolate.)

DON'T GET CONFUSED AGAIN! I know it might be quite easy to confuse these two French verbs.

They are used differently and it's important for you to understand the context.

💫 "Sembler" means 'to seem/ to appear' and is used when conveying one's impression of something/ someone.

👉🏾 Lucas semble content.
👉🏾 Lucas seems happy / Lucas appears to be happy.

(In this sentence, the impression that the speaker has is that Lucas seems or appears to be happy.)
💯 The speaker is merely expressing what he feels/ believes to be true about Lucas.

💫 "Ressembler à" can mean ' to ressemble / look like someone or something"

👉🏾 Elle ressemble à sa sœur.
👉🏾 She resembles her sister.

💯 (In this sentence, one person is being compared to another... 2 sisters... one person looks like / resembles the other.)
