Working full sn**ch for skill work today, again not 1rm but something challenging for a single.
This couplet WOD is deceiving. Not super heavy (weight is kgs) but enough to heat the heart rate up enough to not want to run. So your choices are go fast and unbroken on the barbell and recover on the runs OR pace yourself on the barbell with a few sets and go hard on the run.
It all comes down to if your strength is running or a barbell.

My WOD today. Will be working up to roughly 80-85% on the dead’s depending on how the body feels.
The WOD is nice little interval style triplet. Goal is to have at least 2 minutes on the step overs. (If scaling movements this will differ to 1-2 minutes on step ups)
If you don’t have double unders do 150 singles. If you don’t have muscle ups do 12 x burpee jumping pull ups.
Then go hammer and tongs on the step overs! Enjoy the rest (which feels like 10 seconds) and do it all again!
