Haven't had time to take pictures at a softball/baseball game, track meet, dance competition, or at the park? Minnesota 4-H Photography has great news! The committee has decided to extend the deadline of the "Action" Photo Challenge to April 30.

Minnesota 4-H Photography is excited to offer a statewide photography challenge to youth in grades K-13. In the "Action" 4-H photo challenge, youth are encouraged to take action shots that capture the thrill, excitement and energy of fast-paced moments. Youth should select one photo and write 1-2 sentences stating why it’s special to them. Submit one (1) image (with no or minimal editing) and your statement explaining why the chosen photo is important in one email to [email protected] by 11:59 p.m. on April 30. Minnesota 4-H Photography is excited to offer a statewide photography workshop “All about Drones” for youth in grades K-13. It will be held on Monday April 7 from 7-8 p.m. via Zoom. Learn about drones from Earl Logan, a retired law enforcement officer who has been flying drones for 11 years. He will describe the different types of drones and their abilities as well as costs and basic rules for the use of drones.

Minnesota 4-H Photography is excited to offer a statewide photography workshop on action photography for youth in grades K-13. It will be held on Thursday, March 20 from 7-8 p.m. via Zoom. Learn from two newspaper reporters/photographers how to tell stories through action shots. Participants will gain valuable techniques for capturing thrilling, action-packed moments. The Minnesota 4-H Photography PDC is excited to share the entries and winners of the 2024 Hit Me with Your Best Shot Photo Challenge. There were 277 total participants from 12 states. The committee and judges were quite impressed by the images!
The judges found it hard to select overall winners.

Minnesota 4-H Photography is excited to offer a multi-state photo contest to youth in grades K-13. In the "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" 4-H photo contest, youth are encouraged to select their best photo from the current 4-H year and tell the committee why it’s special to them. Submit one (1) image (with no or minimal editing) with up to three sentences on why it’s important to you by 11:59 p.m. (CST) on May 1, 2024.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Minnesota 4-H 'A Day in the Life' Photo Challenge! Also, thank you to the volunteer 4-H photo judges that provided feedback!

The Photo PDC is excited to share the slideshow with feedback with you. The judges were impressed with the creative images that were submitted. They encourage everyone to print their images and exhibit them at the county fair.
